Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aeropostale. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain a high level of store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Store Manager to develop and implement action plans to achieve sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Understand and demonstrate product knowledge, selling skills, and operational expertise to maximize sales and drive business results.
  • Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty by using company tools and strategies.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to develop and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
  • Oversee assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results, including sales, customer satisfaction, and store operations.
  • Support the Store Manager to ensure store standards for merchandising, operations, and customer service are met consistently.
  • Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Remain composed in the face of challenges and unforeseen circumstances, and take initiative to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Model our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, compassion, accountability, and inclusivity in all interactions with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar volume, apparel business (preferred).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
  • Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends.
  • May require occasional travel to other store locations (if needed).
