About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Iacofano Group, LLC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and supporting staff, working closely with the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing: Develop and implement effective staffing strategies to ensure accurate labor costs, maintain a level of staffing to meet production demands, and ensure proper training and supervision of kitchen staff.
  • Product and Inventory: Maintain accurate food costs, order products using approved systems, and ensure proper storage and rotation of products.
  • Recipes: Develop and document new recipes, train staff on recipe preparation, and ensure consistency in recipe execution.
  • Production: Prepare a variety of food items for cooking, assume responsibility for quality of products served, and ensure compliance with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards.
  • Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed, and maintain DHEC standards for cleanliness and food safety.
  • Employee Management: Monitor and document employee attendance and performance, resolve disciplinary issues, and maintain employee performance reviews.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and packaging personnel.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
  • ServSafe Certification.
