We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at VitalCore Health Strategies. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for delivering quality care to patients in a correctional facility setting. This includes administering medications, providing wound care, and assisting with the development and implementation of teaching plans. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to patients as directed by the Medical Director or Registered Nurse
  • Provide wound care and dressing/bandaging as needed
  • Assist with the development and implementation of teaching plans for patients
  • Monitor patients and report any changes or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment
  • Possesses an active CPR certification
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice
  • Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role

Shift Differential

  • Evening shift (1PM - 1AM): $1.00 per hour
  • Night shift (5PM - 6AM): $2.00 per hour
