Job Overview:


The selected candidate will undertake Engineering Evaluation and Testing (EET) tasks on military Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) / Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE).

Responsibilities include conducting initial operational certification and verification assessments of both common and specialized support equipment to confirm compliance with design specifications for integration with designated aircraft.

The role involves performing aircraft interface form-fit-function assessments of first-article/prototype support equipment assets. The candidate will collect source and engineering data and prepare necessary documentation for executing EET test events. Collaboration with aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, and schedulers will be essential to coordinate testing activities on assigned aircraft. Additionally, the candidate will provide initial operational guidance to maintenance personnel regarding the use and functionality of support equipment assets. This position will involve working on a Strike program alongside U.S. Government, U.S. Air Force, Northrop Grumman, and contractor personnel.

Work Schedule:
This role is designated for 2nd Shift with flexible start times typically ranging from 1:00-4:00 P.M., following any of these schedules: 4/10, 5/40, or 9/80.

Basic Qualifications:


Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) along with 7 years of experience in AGE support equipment, aircraft maintenance, or flight line support. Candidates with a bachelor's degree may qualify with 3 years of experience, or those with a master's degree may qualify with 1 year of experience.

A comprehensive understanding and experience in all aspects of aircraft and/or support equipment operations are required.

Responsibilities include managing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and calibrations.


Applicants must hold an active DoD Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last five years; this clearance is necessary to commence employment.

Candidates must also be able to obtain Program Access within 120 days of submission.

Strong analytical skills to comprehend and resolve complex issues are essential.

Ability to read and interpret CAD models, engineering documents, and COTS manuals is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.

Candidates should be capable of collaborating effectively in a team environment and working independently with minimal supervision.

Experience in public speaking is advantageous.

Flexibility to work in varied environmental conditions and the ability to travel as needed are essential.

Possession of a valid Driver's License is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience in logistics, support equipment operations, and/or aircraft maintenance is preferred.

Experience in maintaining support equipment and/or aircraft platforms is highly desirable.

Familiarity with process development and implementation is beneficial.

Experience with first article testing of support equipment is a plus.

Demonstrable Aircraft Ground & Flight Test experience is advantageous.

Familiarity with information systems such as MES, FMT, CPLM, etc., is preferred.

Experience with Team Center programs and briefing upper management is beneficial.

Classified Program Clearance (PAR briefed) is a plus.

Salary Range:
$65,600 - $98,400


This salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman evaluates various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay, designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company success. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
