About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodial Operations Manager to join our team at Gathering Place. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and quality standards in our park.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training: Provide guidance and training to custodial staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Quality Standards: Oversee daily custodial work, assign tasks, and ensure that all areas of the park are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Communication and Guest Engagement: Communicate effectively with team members and guests, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Inventory Management and Expense Control: Assist with maintaining inventory and controlling expenses related to custodial supplies and equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, and that safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Event Support and Preparation: Assist with preparing the park for events, and ensure that all areas are clean and ready for guests.
  • Reporting and Administration: Accurately complete daily paperwork, notes, and spreadsheets, and report any maintenance issues or concerns to management.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of one year of demonstrated leadership experience in a custodial or facilities role.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and train team members.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks as required.
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Custodial or Janitorial Work: Three years of experience in custodial or janitorial work, with a focus on leadership and training.
  • Pressure Washing Experience: Previous experience with pressure washing equipment and techniques.
  • Specialized Floor Cleaning Equipment: Previous experience using specialized floor cleaning equipment.
