About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Richmond Behavioral Health Authority.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Specialist will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in our residential medical withdrawal management program. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in their lives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide empathetic trauma-informed support to clients
  • Work closely with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Perform back office and patient-related tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment
  • Assist with daily activities, such as reading, crafts, and vital sign taking
  • Maintain accurate records and submit them to the office by deadline
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with coursework in business administration or a related field
  • Considerable experience providing support in a healthcare setting, including customer service experience
  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A STATE-APPROVED CNA TRAINING PROGRAM AND CURRENT CNA CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION WITH THE STATE OF VIRGINIA
  • CPR certification and a valid Virginia driver's license
  • Basic computer and EHR experience preferred
