Job Title: Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Emcor Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of mechanical construction project engineering functions, collaborating with project managers to ensure the complete scope of work is defined, and performing project estimating, scheduling, and managing RFI's.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all mechanical construction project engineering functions accurately and in a timely manner on the project site.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure the complete scope of work is defined.
  • Perform project estimating, scheduling, and managing RFI's.
  • Manage monthly productivity analysis and initiate correspondence between the office and job site regarding shop deliveries.
  • Assist in data population of forms, assist in technical analysis, and troubleshooting and problem-solving of HVAC air equipment, HVAC & Process Piping, Equipment Systems, and HVAC & Plumbing equipment.
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with project managers.
  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 2-3 years of work-related experience in the Mechanical Industry.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience performing construction and engineering calculations.
  • Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principals and techniques, of all general contract and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications.
  • A basic understanding of accounting and cost control procedures.
