We are a leading manufacturer of electrical-mechanical engineered products, seeking a dedicated Material Inventory Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with procurement, production, quality assurance, and shipping departments to efficiently manage orders, deliver materials to production areas, and adapt to fluctuating delivery needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across various departments.
  • Evaluate inventory levels and adjust them to align with production demands.
  • Review production orders and liaise with department supervisors to determine material requirements.
  • Requisition materials and establish delivery timelines based on job priorities and availability.
  • Assist in processing purchase and production orders for subcontracted tasks.
  • Utilize SAP and ProClarity to maintain the accuracy of inventory data.
  • Ensure proper rotation of materials in inventory, adhering to FIFO management practices.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts in collaboration with Operations Managers and MRP.
  • Verify materials against specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate the transfer of materials within the plant to meet production schedules.
  • Identify and manage inventory shelf life issues, advising relevant managers accordingly.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for material storage and movement processes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding material shortages or issues.
  • Support the implementation of 5S program initiatives and uphold quality and EHS policies.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
