Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer serves as a liaison during the sales process when complex manufacturing and troubleshooting issues occur. This role requires strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and system requirements during new product installations and facility visits.
  • Analyze failed, worn, or new parts to help customers avoid system failures and optimize equipment performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to sales teams to effectively communicate products and services to customers.
  • Ensure customer needs are met by providing product modifications and process changes as needed.
  • Provide support to customers and resolve problems with installed equipment, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Troubleshoot products and services to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with mechanical equipment and inspection hand tools to provide expert knowledge and support.
  • Assist with research and development of new products to drive innovation and growth.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical products and processes to customers.
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to products and services.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, Minitab, SolidWorks, and other technical tools.
  • 40% travel required, with a valid passport and driver's license.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) or a related field is preferred. Two to four years of related product or sales experience is preferred, but open to new graduates in the Engineering field. Position requires international travel and offers relocation assistance for applicable candidates.
