Assistant Property Management Specialist

We are seeking a committed and skilled Assistant Property Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in managing a retirement community designed for seniors aged 62 and above. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Community Director in overseeing all operational aspects of the property, including administration and maintenance of the physical asset.
  • Assist in the preparation of leases and management documentation, ensuring thorough review and processing of residency applications, verifications, and re-certifications.
  • Manage all unit move-out procedures, from processing Notices to Vacate to conducting move-out inspections and submitting final accounting statements.
  • Update and maintain the computerized property management system with accurate data entry and post collections.
  • Assist in recruiting, managing, and training high-quality staff.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure the best interests of the property.
  • Ensure compliance with HUD regulations at all operational levels of the property.


Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in property management.
  • Experience in affordable housing communities with a solid understanding of current HUD guidelines is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees, residents, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership and customer service skills.
