We are seeking a dedicated Animal Health Laboratory Worker (Histology Technician) to support our operations at Biogensys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dissection and gross examination of animal tissues;
- Execute tissue processing, embedding, and staining while ensuring organized storage of paraffin blocks, frozen specimens, and prepared slides;
- Oversee the inventory management of pathology supplies;
- Maintain an adequate supply of fixatives, solvents, and materials essential for the preservation and processing of tissues into finalized routine slides;
- Document, maintain, and organize laboratory records, observations, and worksheets;
- Assist with the reception, preparation, and examination of specimens;
- Update or retrieve information from databases or electronic records as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Certification as a Histo technician (HT) or Histo technologist (HTL) or eligibility for certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Work Schedule:
- Standard hours: 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM
- Lunch Break: 1 Hour (Unpaid)
