About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Cardiac Ablation Solutions team at Medtronic. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of catheter-based devices, sheaths, and disposable delivery tools and accessories required for AF ablation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and/or fabrication of ablation catheters, guide sheaths, and implant procedure accessories required for AF ablation procedures from either a detailed specification or a less defined customer need.
  • Apply basic engineering principles to explore design performance and develop innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, verify, validate, and implement new product designs.
  • Participate in interactions with customers, physicians, and patients to understand needs and product requirements.
  • Manage projects and CAPAs to ensure timely and successful completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of related experience or advanced degree and 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and experience with design software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in designing and developing laboratory experiments.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to apply judgment in determining the appropriate work methods needed to achieve results.
  • Proven ability to accomplish critical project level objectives in a team environment.
