About This Role

The Business Development Officer will play a critical role in securing new clients for the Bank by developing and maintaining strong banking relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Bank's 'People First' focus by maintaining a professional demeanor, working collaboratively with the CNOB team, and providing exceptional client service.
  • Generating and developing new business relationships through networking, building relationships with referral sources, and prospecting.
  • Determining the best financial products and structures to meet clients' needs and financial circumstances.
  • Maintaining close client contact throughout the transaction process, from application to closing, and ensuring the Bank exceeds client expectations.
  • Assisting the underwriting team by submitting complete application packages, monitoring application progress, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational, security, and control procedures to prevent fraud and protect customer assets.
  • Conducting sales presentations with prospective and existing clients, as well as community groups.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong 'People First' interest and ability
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations
  • Familiarity with Bank security and safety practices
  • Expert knowledge of the Bank's deposit and small business lending products and cash management services
  • Minimum five years of business sales experience
  • Thorough understanding of federal banking compliance and requirements
