Surgical ICU Nurse

Cleveland Clinic's Medina Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical ICU Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Intensive Care Unit, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
