As a Licensed Clinical Counselor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients by offering therapeutic services tailored to their needs. This includes conducting individual and group therapy sessions, while fostering an environment conducive to long-term recovery. You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Supervisor and Executive Director to ensure a supportive therapeutic atmosphere for our residents.

Qualifications:

  • CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) or higher certification in Ohio
  • A minimum of one year (2,000 hours) of relevant experience in chemical dependency counseling, either through compensated work or supervised internships.
  • Preferred educational background includes a bachelor's degree in behavioral science or a related field, along with an LCDC III certification.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or approved exemption status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the counseling requirements of clients.
  • Utilize DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to assess clients for substance abuse diagnoses and determine the appropriate level of care based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) guidelines.
  • Prepare the substance abuse counseling component of the client treatment plan.
  • Develop discharge and continuum of care plans to facilitate transitions to appropriate levels of care.
  • Document all counseling and educational services, assessments, and follow-ups in the client's clinical record.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, including all necessary case management and utilization review updates.
  • Coordinate support services for clients and their families, recording the services provided in the client's clinical record.
  • Engage with referral sources such as legal, educational, and employment entities.
  • Facilitate interventions for crisis situations using a multi-disciplinary team approach.
  • Adhere to Pinnacle Treatment Centers' policies and federal confidentiality regulations (42-CFR, Pt 2).
