Laboratory Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient learning environment.
  • Train and supervise student lab assistants and support personnel in the safe use of facilities and operation of laboratory equipment.
  • Provide instructional and technical support for laboratory personnel and teaching assistants.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety, Custodial Services, and Biology Instructional Office staff to maintain a safe and well-maintained laboratory environment.
  • Assist course instructors in improving laboratory exercises and updating procedural guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
