Position Overview:
Crowe's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Public Sector ERP practice empowers various public entities, including transportation authorities, municipalities, and utilities, to enhance their operational performance and efficiency. By implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, our public sector team members provide solutions that address critical issues in financial management, operational efficiency, and information technology.
We are currently seeking a skilled Public Sector ERP Implementation Leader to oversee and manage the execution of public sector ERP projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage client engagements (multi-year, fixed fee projects).
- Assume responsibility for managing two implementation projects concurrently.
- Establish and manage clear expectations with both Crowe staff and clients.
- Oversee detailed activities necessary to deliver projects on schedule and within budget, adhering to our ERP implementation methodology.
- Monitor and track project budgets against actuals and client billings.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and manage communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the definition of client business requirements and the configuration of the Dynamics ERP solution, including any necessary customizations.
- Supervise the technical team for any architecture and development-related tasks.
- Oversee the validation of the new solution.
- Coordinate and manage end-user training initiatives.
- Lead and manage cutover planning and preparation.
- Handle support activities following implementation.
- Guide, mentor, and develop functional and technical resources throughout the ERP project.
- Schedule and coordinate project resources effectively.
- Anticipate travel requirements averaging 30-50%.
Qualifications:
- Prior consulting experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management (scope, quality, costs, staffing, risk management, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience managing ERP implementations (valued at $1M - $2M).
- 2+ years of experience delivering public sector ERP projects (state and/or local level).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
- Proactive and effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Solid experience managing fixed fee projects.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams on installation, custom development, and other technical activities essential for successful large-scale ERP project delivery.
- Experience in team building and staff development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial, operational, and HR processes is advantageous, including:
- General Ledger, Financial Reporting
- Budgeting
- Procurement
- Accounts Payable, Cash Management
- Projects and Grants
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Assets
- Inventory, Enterprise Asset Management, Work Orders
- Human Resources, Payroll
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
