Addictions Counselor

We are seeking a skilled Addictions Counselor to join our team at the Addiction Treatment Center. As a member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will work under the supervision of a higher-level Addictions Counselor or Licensed Master Social Worker to provide clinical services and direct care to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group therapy, as well as facilitate recreational, vocational, and social activities.
- Interview patients, review medical/psychiatric history, and complete assessments as part of treatment plan development.
- Monitor patient compliance with treatment goals and complete required documentation.
- Provide orientation to patients regarding the nature of the treatment facility and its programs.
- Provide crisis intervention and maintain relationships with community agencies associated with client rehabilitation.
- Communicate with insurance companies and conduct routine rounds to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List and investigated through a Criminal Background Check. A background investigation will also be conducted to verify eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
