Job Overview

BayMark Health Services is a leading provider of addiction treatment services. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Professional to join our team at the San Antonio Recovery Center.

About the Role

This is a part-time Licensed Vocational Nurse/Registered Nurse position that requires the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will provide direct care to individuals served in the Detoxification Unit under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete admission procedures, including paperwork and orientation of the individual, and monitor urinalysis collection.
  • Search individuals' belongings upon admission and properly dispose of any forbidden items.
  • Administer and read the tuberculosis skin test.
  • Document individual-related data, including nursing assessment, treatment plan, physicians' orders, progress notes, and other relevant information.
  • Provide medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management to individuals served in the Detoxification Unit.
  • Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records and manage medication as ordered by the Medical Director.
  • Develop a treatment plan with the individual to address medical issues and provide emotional support through listening, counseling, and answering questions.
Requirements
  • Hold an unrestricted LVN/RN license in the state of Texas.
  • Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Pass State of Texas criminal background and driving record checks.
  • Prior experience in detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing is preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse.
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of substance intoxication and withdrawal, including pharmacological factors.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
  • Able to perform the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $63,400 - $83,300, depending on experience and qualifications.
