Job Summary

San Antonio Recovery Center is seeking a qualified Medical Professional to join our team. This position will be responsible for providing direct care to individuals in need of substance abuse treatment.

About the Role

We are looking for a part-time Licensed Vocational Nurse/Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting nursing assessments, developing treatment plans, and administering medications as ordered by the Medical Director.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
  • Completing admission procedures, including paperwork and orientation of the individual.
  • Administering and reading tuberculosis skin tests.
  • Documenting individual-related data, including nursing assessments and treatment plans.
  • Providing direct care to individuals, including monitoring for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
  • Managing and administering medication as ordered by the Medical Director.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold an unrestricted LVN/RN license in the state of Texas and have current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens. A minimum of one year of experience in detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing is preferred.
