Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient orders and charts to provide accurate and timely medication management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Process medication orders efficiently, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and document medication errors, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in pharmacy practice, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of Tennessee, or eligibility for licensure by reciprocation or examination.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science Degree from an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of general pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical care, and hospital operations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and support agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with a focus on clinical pharmaceutical services.
  • Knowledge of organizational functions, policies, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing work conditions and priorities.
