About The Role - Diesel Fleet Mechanic

We are seeking a full-time Fleet Mechanic responsible for conducting preventive maintenance and repairs on our fleet of delivery vehicles. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency of our operations by managing maintenance tasks and providing ongoing support for our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on delivery trucks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in engine and chassis work, along with production area tasks.
  • Handle repairs on hydraulic systems, electrical components, welding, steering, and suspension.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and welding operations.
  • Familiarity with software applications including Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Dependable and reliable work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Experience in maintaining inventory for repair parts and preventive maintenance supplies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to enhance operational efficiency.
Role Requirements
  • Willingness to work 30% in the field and 70% in the shop.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed, including potential overnight stays.
Educational Background
  • High School Diploma; postsecondary trade or vocational training preferred.
  • Certification in relevant fields is advantageous.
  • CDL Class B driver's license is a plus.
