Resident Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or medical status to the supervisor or program coordinator.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist with household management, meal preparation, and maintenance of a safe and clean living environment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in human services, preferably in a residential setting.
- Valid CT driver's license and good driving record required.
- Ability to lift and transfer 70-75 pounds and perform active work both inside and outside the program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 8am to 4pm, Tuesday-Thursday 2pm-10pm. 40 hours per week.
