The Breast Oncology Lead APP will oversee a team of APPs at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, managing 60% of time in clinical practice and 40% in administrative and leadership duties. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies.
  • Provide management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Facilitate quality-related initiatives and participate in research projects.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in nursing or a related field.
  • Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
  • A minimum of two years of oncology experience as a provider.
  • A minimum of two years of formal or informal leadership experience.
