About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Radiation Oncology team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of our department's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and results.
  • Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with our team to improve clinical and system practice performance through quality-related initiatives and clinical research protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as a Physician Assistant program or a Master's degree in nursing.
  • Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • Current applicable American Heart Association or American Red Cross Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
  • One year of relevant APP experience strongly preferred.
