As a vital member of the Cannabis Practice team, you will provide essential legal guidance to clients, addressing a wide range of issues. Your responsibilities will include advising on mergers and acquisitions, managing regulatory compliance challenges, and influencing policy discussions relevant to the cannabis industry. Additionally, you will represent clients in various legal settings, including courtrooms and administrative bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Cannabis Practice team to meet the diverse legal requirements of clients.
  • Offer strategic counsel on mergers, acquisitions, and contractual agreements.
  • Navigate intricate regulatory frameworks and provide compliance advice.
  • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and administrative hearings.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research, assess issues, and formulate effective legal strategies.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts tailored to the specific needs of clients.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of legal experience with a focus on cannabis industry matters.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Ohio and Colorado Bar, or a commitment to obtaining licensure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and interaction with governmental agencies.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with exceptional academic performance.
