Job Overview:

As a Cashier at Bachman's, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with customers directly on the sales floor and at the registers, ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.
  • Executing all transactions in accordance with established protocols, including handling returns and inventory transfers.
  • Upholding the store's aesthetic by performing general cleaning tasks, caring for plants, dusting, pricing, stocking, and arranging merchandise displays.
  • Assisting customers with carryout services and retrieving shopping carts.
  • Responding to customer inquiries via phone as necessary.
  • Providing friendly, accurate, and timely service to all customers, both existing and prospective.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and write in English, along with basic mathematical skills.
  • High energy and a proven ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Previous experience with cash registers is preferred.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Physical demands include standing or walking on hard surfaces for the duration of the shift and working at a fast pace.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent bending.

Work Schedule:

We offer a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
