Job Summary

University Health is seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer B to join our team at the Energy Center HSD. As a key member of our Physical Plant team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, and emergency generators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain mechanical systems, including generating steam, providing chilled water, and generating emergency power.
  • Maintain and operate air handlers and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting equipment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of the Energy Center.

Requirements

  • EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Membership in a local union.
  • Knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, equipment, processes, and techniques of the trade.
  • Ability to work from written and oral instructions, read diagrams and blueprints, and maintain standard records.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, push and pull up to 95 pounds, and lift up to 50 pounds.
