Position Overview

The selected candidate will play a vital role in our IT Compliance Team within the Information Security division.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Information Security and IT teams to evaluate and verify the organization's security measures and adherence to relevant standards. This position will offer advisory support and recommendations for addressing potential vulnerabilities and challenges to achieve compliance goals and security benchmarks.

This role will report to the Senior Manager of IT Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee security control evaluations, including initiation, deliverable submissions, final reporting, and executive briefings.
  • Conduct assessments of current security measures and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Lead interviews, testing, and coordinate evidence collection.
  • Perform audits to confirm that security measures are correctly implemented and functioning effectively.
  • Develop policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct security risk assessments for new technologies and third-party vendors to evaluate potential security impacts.
  • Monitor and assess compliance with security, resilience, and reliability standards.
  • Identify security gaps in architecture through security reviews and provide recommendations for integration into the risk management strategy.
  • Conduct security risk analyses during significant changes to applications or systems.
  • Plan and execute security authorization reviews and assurance case development for new systems and networks.
  • Ensure that software/network/system security postures are implemented as specified, document discrepancies, and suggest corrective actions.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs within established timelines.
  • Prepare metrics and reports for management regarding the status of IT compliance objectives.
  • Create necessary documentation and diagrams.
  • Represent the Information Security Team by engaging directly with projects, providing guidance, requirements, and documentation for security-related needs.
  • Evaluate, document, and maintain standards, processes, and procedures related to security and privacy.
  • Offer insightful recommendations to enhance security posture.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a Security Control Evaluator role.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP.
  • Familiarity with security and privacy standards (PCI, ISO27001, SOC2, NIST, GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
Essential Skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Capable of presenting technical information clearly in both oral and written formats.
  • Ownership of projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook).
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other GRC applications is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Certifications Required
  • Security certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP.
