Job Overview:

The Gordon Food Service team is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Driver Trainee to join our logistics operations. As a CDL A Permit holder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our products to customers across the country.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, communicating their concerns and issues effectively.
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues or damages.
  • Accurately collect customer payments, safeguarding company funds and adhering to GFS banking policies.
  • Collaborate with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns and develop solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • Candidate must hold a valid CDL A Permit.
  • Punctuality, problem-solving, and attention to detail are essential skills for this role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, work independently, and function in a team environment.
  • Must be goal-oriented with a positive 'can-do' attitude and able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language.
Compensation:$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
