Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse Clinician A, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established hospital policies and standards.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while considering pharmacological and psychiatric knowledge.
  • Supervise and guide nursing staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Engage in holistic treatment approaches that cater to the individual needs of patients, recognizing the non-linear nature of recovery.
  • Utilize skills in managing Seclusion/Restraints, being aware of the associated physical and emotional risks.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current Virginia Registered Nurse license; multi-state compact endorsement is acceptable.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • The ability to work flexibly across various wards as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care assessment and planning.
  • Proficiency in supervising and evaluating nursing personnel.
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

We highly value:

  • Bilingual candidates.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience in psychiatric nursing and working with diverse patient populations.
  • Previous supervisory experience, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
