Join the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse Clinician A, a vital role within our healthcare system dedicated to providing exceptional care to adult psychiatric patients. This position is designed for nurses registered with the International Nurse Program.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse Clinician A, you will:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established hospital policies and standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while considering pharmacological and psychiatric knowledge.
- Supervise and guide nursing staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Engage in holistic treatment approaches that cater to the individual needs of patients, recognizing the non-linear nature of recovery.
- Utilize skills in managing Seclusion/Restraints, being aware of the associated physical and emotional risks.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A current Virginia Registered Nurse license; multi-state compact endorsement is acceptable.
- A valid Driver's License.
- The ability to work flexibly across various wards as needed.
- Basic knowledge of patient care assessment and planning.
- Proficiency in supervising and evaluating nursing personnel.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
We highly value:
- Bilingual candidates.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in psychiatric nursing and working with diverse patient populations.
- Previous supervisory experience, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
