Clinical Nurse Specialist

Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and managing the needs of assigned patients, focusing on progress toward discharge.
Key Responsibilities- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
- Administer medications as ordered
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
- Must hold current Registered Nurse license
- Obtains and maintains certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC
- Ability to improve job performance through continuing education
