Service Greeter/Porter Job Description

The Service Greeter/Porter is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our service customers. This role requires a friendly and professional attitude, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and organized service parking area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers entering the service area and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
  • Determine if customers have an appointment and record relevant information.
  • Control service traffic flow, park vehicles, and assist with loaner vehicles as needed.
  • Drive safely and report any lot damage immediately.
  • Retrieve customer vehicles at the cashier for pick-up and wait for the customer to thank them for their business.
  • Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
  • Deliver keys and repair order hard copies to the Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle.
  • Maintain a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash, water, leaves, and dirt.
  • Drive vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and parking lots as needed.
  • Make key tags for vehicles.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
