Bullfrog Spas is a leading manufacturer of premium hot tubs, dedicated to creating peaceful lives for our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance to join our executive team.

Job Summary

The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for guiding the company's financial direction, overseeing all financial operations, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. This role involves developing and implementing financial strategies to support Bullfrog Spas' short- and long-term goals, providing insights into current financial performance, and collaborating with the CEO and executive team to align financial planning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support Bullfrog Spas' short- and long-term goals.
    • Provide insights into current financial performance and develop scenario planning to guide executive decision-making.
    • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to align financial planning with business objectives.
  • Financial Decision-Making
    • Deliver up-to-date financial reports and analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assist business leaders in executing plans.
    • Support strategic initiatives with financial data and insights, including cost management and investment opportunities.
  • Financial Control and Compliance
    • Ensure all departments adhere to budgetary guidelines and contribute to the company's strategic vision.
    • Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate financial statements and reports.
    • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation
    • Identify and manage financial risks, including market fluctuations, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risks.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies and procedures.
  • Financial Operations and Reporting
    • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, and cash management functions.
    • Ensure effective financial and cash flow modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics.
    • Lead monthly close procedures, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Maintain strong relationships with investors, the board of directors, banks, attorneys, insurance providers, and CPAs.
    • Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO or VP of Finance in a manufacturing or consumer goods company.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk management.
  • Experience in managing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in financial software systems and ERP implementation experience is a plus.
