The RN Float Specialist will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients across various departments, ensuring seamless coordination and continuity of care. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Document patient care given and monitor patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, and self-care
- Work as an advocate for patient well-being and safety
- Float throughout the hospital as needed to support staffing and patient care needs
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Kentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure
- 1-2 years of experience as a bedside RN, with 2-4 years of critical care experience preferred
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (PALS)
