Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Credit Clerk to join our team at Cape Regional Health System. As a Credit Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our uninsured programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview patients and family members to gather information for uninsured programs.
• Prepare and submit preliminary applications on behalf of patients, recording all applications accurately and timely for billing and collection purposes.
• Enter information into our system to facilitate billing and collection.
• Assist patients in completing full applications for uninsured programs.
• Follow up with Social Service and Family Care Office to ensure completed applications.
• Provide backup support to collectors, answer calls, make credit arrangements, and send correspondence as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in computer systems is essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization and the public.
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
