Job Overview

The Human Resources Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the HR Manager with recruitment efforts for the company's Marine Construction initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with management to assess workforce requirements. Executes comprehensive talent acquisition and recruitment processes for Marine Construction projects.
  • Facilitates the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Manages employment-related personnel transactions and ensures the accuracy of personnel records.
  • Handles administrative tasks, including the preparation of various personnel reports and employee status updates.
  • May provide guidance on company personnel policies and procedures.
  • Addresses general HR inquiries from management and staff regarding benefits and status changes.
  • Assists in conducting new-hire orientations and annual compliance activities.
  • Completes additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with EEO regulations and employment practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a Human Resources role.
  • Position is based at the main office, with standard business hours.
  • No relocation assistance is available.

Compensation: $60,000.00 annually (exempt)
