Role Overview

As a key member of the Emory Healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in the CT Surgery department. This role requires a high level of expertise and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Document patient care in medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Conduct patient interviews, document patient histories, and perform physical examinations under the direction of a physician.
  • Assist physicians in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.
  • Order and schedule laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays.

Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum one year of direct experience in a high acuity clinical specialty.
  • BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required, with ACLS certification in some areas.
