About the Department:

The Department of Radiology is a world-class imaging service with a strong focus on innovation and patient care. With a team of over 40 board-certified radiologists, 7 advanced practice professionals, and 200 non-provider clinical staff, we provide a comprehensive range of imaging services to our patients. Our department is comprised of 9 subspecialty sections and a Division of Neurointerventional Radiology, making us a hub for medical innovation and research.

Job Description:

As the Department Chair, you will be responsible for leading our team of clinicians, researchers, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care and drive medical innovation. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing new initiatives, managing equipment and technology, and contributing to the development of our strategic vision.

You will work closely with other leaders to ensure that our Medical Center provides outstanding medical care to its patients while serving as a resource for healthcare excellence in the community. Your role will also involve promoting a culture of respect and belonging, as well as developing and implementing ongoing diversity programs.

Requirements:
  • Board certification in Radiology
  • Strong academic background, with a strong desire for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and grow a team
  • Strong technical savvy in medical innovation, including AI-powered diagnostics and technological advancements in imaging modalities
  • Experience in equipment planning and selection, information systems development, and resource allocation
Work Environment:

The Department of Radiology is located in a thriving community, approximately 15 miles north of Boston. The area offers a diverse range of amenities, including shopping options, parks, and trails. With easy access to major highways and public transportation, our location provides a strong sense of community while remaining well-connected to the greater Boston metropolitan area.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $400,000 - $600,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on national averages for Radiology Department Chairs in the Boston area. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
