Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Mental Health Specialist to provide high-quality care to children and adolescents with various mental health needs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will utilize your expertise in patient assessment and treatment to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Schedule and Work Environment:

  • A Monday – Friday schedule in an outpatient setting

Education and Experience:

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology or Counseling (PsyD/PhD)
  • Experience working with pediatric and adolescent patients
  • Experience working in a consultation liaison setting
  • Experience working in an inpatient acute care setting

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

  • Current, valid Psychology license in Florida
  • Current BLS certification
  • Eligible for board certification (board certification is a requirement for AdventHealth within 5 years of hire)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, incorporating physical, psycho-social, environmental, spiritual, and financial factors
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address various mental health needs
  • Educate healthcare teams and physicians on psycho-social issues and patient problems
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and inpatient providers to improve health outcomes
  • Foster relationships with local community agencies and school systems to support mental health services
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and services provided to each client

Estimated Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per year
