Position Summary:
The Pharmacist plays a crucial role in overseeing daily compounding operations within the cleanroom, providing direct supervision to compounding technicians.

This role involves collaboration with the quality unit on pharmacy-related events and encompasses various supervisory and administrative responsibilities.

This is a second shift (2-11pm) salaried position that offers annual bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise compounding, labeling, and daily pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain accurate logs for controlled substances and compounding activities.
  • Conduct pre-and-post compounding operational checks.
  • Implement new ideas and protocols to enhance workflow, including process improvements and corrective actions.
  • Oversee deviation investigations and batch reviews prior to product release.
  • Assist in variance completion and information gathering.
  • Supervise and support technicians in preparing sterile admixtures.
  • Communicate issues effectively to the Pharmacy lead.
  • Ensure compounding adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and batch record guidelines.
  • Maintain real-time inventory of finished pharmacy products.
  • Enforce relevant personnel policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Required:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) with an active Pharmacist License in CT.

Preferred Skills:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to supervise compounding in a cleanroom setting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to gowning procedures while utilizing sterile Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and carry over 40 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods as required.
