Position Summary:
The Pharmacist plays a crucial role in overseeing daily compounding operations within the cleanroom environment, directly supervising compounding technicians.
This role includes collaboration with the quality unit on pharmacy-related events and encompasses various supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
This is a salaried position for the 2nd shift (2-11pm) with potential for annual bonuses and comprehensive benefits.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise compounding, labeling, and daily pharmacy operations.
- Maintain accurate logs for controlled substances and compounding activities.
- Conduct pre-and-post compounding operational checks.
- Integrate new ideas and protocols into workflows, including process enhancements and corrective measures.
- Manage deviation investigations and batch reviews prior to product release.
- Assist in variance completion and information gathering.
- Oversee and support technicians in preparing sterile admixtures.
- Communicate any issues to the Pharmacy lead.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and batch record instructions during compounding.
- Maintain real-time inventory of pharmacy finished products.
- Enforce relevant personnel policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) with an active Pharmacist License in CT.
Preferred Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to supervise compounding in a cleanroom setting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and adhere to gowning procedures and utilize sterile Personal Protective Equipment.
- Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40+ pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods as required.
