Position Summary:
The role of the Pharmacist encompasses overseeing daily compounding operations within the cleanroom, providing direct supervision to compounding technicians. This position requires collaboration with the quality unit on pharmacy-related events and entails certain supervisory and administrative responsibilities.

This is a 2nd shift (2-11pm) salaried role that offers annual bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise compounding, labeling, and daily pharmacy operations.
2. Maintain accurate logs for controlled substances and compounding records.
3. Conduct both pre-and-post compounding operational checks.
4. Integrate new ideas and protocols into workflows, including process enhancements and corrective measures.
5. Manage deviation investigations and batch reviews prior to product release.
6. Assist in resolving variances and collecting necessary information.
7. Oversee and support technicians in preparing sterile admixtures.
8. Communicate issues effectively to the Pharmacy lead.
9. Ensure compounding adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and batch record guidelines.
10. Maintain real-time inventory of pharmacy finished products.
11. Enforce relevant personnel policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (RPh)
- Active Pharmacist License in CT

Preferred Skills and Attributes:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in supervising compounding in a cleanroom setting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to learn gowning procedures and utilize sterile Personal Protective Equipment, as the Pharmacist may be required to wear full protective gear for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry over 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended durations as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time
