Elms College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FNP Track Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our students and the program as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the AGACNP Track Coordinator, clinical partners, and Director of DNP Program to secure clinical FNP placements and related coordination activities.
  • Assure the integrity of the FNP curriculum through effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of program outcomes.
  • Maintain standards and assume responsibilities delegated for accreditation with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF).
  • Participate in the FNP evaluation of courses and faculty, ensuring that the program has the required components necessary for competency in the role as an advanced practice nurse.
  • Provide guidance to and collaborate with FNP faculty members regarding their respective areas of responsibility for the curriculum.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the AGACNP and FNP Programs in the community, with practicum agencies, professional, and accreditation bodies.
  • Promote effective and positive working relationships with internal and external partners and associates.
  • Monitor the progress of all students in the FNP track to assure that competencies are achieved as scheduled.
  • Coordinate/facilitate the mid-semester and end of semester evaluation process as currently defined with the clinical faculty, preceptor, and practicum site.
  • Assist the Director of the DNP Program in ensuring adequate resources, including faculty, are available to meet the objectives of the DNP program outcomes.
  • Serve as an academic advisor for assigned students and participate in the orientation and evaluation of FNP clinical faculty, preceptors, and students.
  • Provide leadership in ensuring clinical placements are appropriate for students in the track based on scope of practice, student need, and clinical site availability.
  • Teach in the FNP tracks as needed.
  • Assist with a variety of projects as delegated or as appropriate to the position.
  • Participate in creating an environment that supports and enhances Elms College's mission, values, and philosophy as they relate to the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.
  • Participate in the College and School of Nursing's efforts related to continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain professional confidentiality.
  • Serve as a professional role model for students.
  • Meet all Elms College Faculty and the School of Nursing requirements.

This is a non-tenure track position, eligible for renewal annually based on department needs and performance. The successful candidate will be expected to teach twelve credits or the equivalent per academic year, maintain three scheduled office hours per week in session, provide academic advising for students in the Nursing DNP major, and participate in committee responsibilities. Attendance at division, school, or college-sponsored activities is expected, in accordance with the Elms College Faculty and Employee Handbooks, and may be requested by the Dean or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
