We are currently seeking an Academic Instructor to support our educational programs, focusing on academic learning, assessment, and classroom engagement. The primary responsibilities of the Academic Instructor include developing lesson plans and ensuring students achieve their educational milestones, including earning credits or a GED.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess the academic needs of students, providing tailored instruction to a diverse group.
  • Deliver lessons in core subjects and electives, following established lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Encourage and support students in reaching their educational goals and objectives.
  • Utilize the Behavior Modification System effectively, offering guidance and redirection to students.
  • Teach life skills and career readiness curriculum as required.
  • Oversee classroom activities and manage computer-based assignments.
  • Ensure the availability of educational materials, resources, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records for each student, including lesson plans and grades.
  • Act as a mentor and positive role model for students at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with youth is necessary.
