About the Opportunity

Mental Health Partnerships (MHP) is a leading provider of mental health services in the Greater Philadelphia region. We seek a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Empowerment Coordinator.

In this role, you will work closely with individuals with autism spectrum diagnoses, providing flexible, community-based peer support to promote empowerment, personal wellness, and community integration. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the local mental health system and be able to travel within the community to provide support services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to empower individuals with autism spectrum diagnoses.
  • Provide education, employment, and social support to help individuals achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support services.
  • Document participant progress in electronic health records systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in a Human Services field preferred.
  • Completed Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or Community Autism Peer Specialist (CAPS) training or credentialed as either.
  • Ability to receive CAPS certification within six months of hire, requiring an ASD diagnosis.
  • At least 12 months of successful paid or voluntary work experience within the last three years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the local Mental Health System.
  • Basic computer skills, including desktop computing, email, timesheet management, electronic health records, and internet research.

Compensation

The salary for this role is $17.50 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
