Job Summary:

The Document Specialist will be responsible for collecting and organizing information required for the preparation of user manuals, SOPs, training materials, installation guides, and reports. You will create and edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, and other customer deliverables and documents. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and organize information required for the preparation of user manuals, SOPs, training materials, installation guides, and reports.
  • Create and edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, and other customer deliverables and documents.
  • Standardize content across platforms and media, and revise documents as needed.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions, as well as the schedule for SOPs and status reports.
  • Perform quality reviews on documents created by other team members prior to delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience, or High School Diploma and 7 years of experience.
  • 1+ year of technical writing experience, including requirements, design, diagrams, SOPs, process documents, user manuals, install guides, system specifications, and training materials.
  • 1+ year of communications development experience, including FAQs, newsletters, job aids, posters, surveys, and how-to documents.
  • 1+ year of knowledge management development and administration experience.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite applications, including Visio.
Desired Skills:
  • SharePoint administration.
  • Quality assurance and control for all documentation.
  • Communications measurement and analysis.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • ITIL service management.
  • Business application training.
  • Troubleshooting experience.
  • User acceptance testing.
