We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Refresco. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes, and for identifying and implementing improvements to our quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality assurance functions in the processing of raw materials to finished goods, ensuring compliance with company, customer, FDA, DOC, USDA, and GMP specifications and regulations.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control functions on production lines and/or quality control bench product analysis for lines and tankers of raw product.
- Sampling and Testing: Obtain samples and perform analytical testing to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Process Auditing: Conduct routine comparisons of products against established standards in regard to color, aroma, texture, and flavor.
- Documentation and Reporting: Audit, document, and report production process.
- Non-Conforming Products: Identify and hold non-conforming products, packaging, and ingredients.
- Communication: Effectively communicate quality issues to management, assist in identifying root cause, and establish corrective action.
- Job Performance: Demonstrate excellent job performance and attendance on a consistent and continuous basis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety Procedures as set forth by Refresco US rules, regulations, and practices.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED or one (1) to three (3) months of related QA experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate mathematical figures and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Manufacturing Software: Demonstrated ability to understand manufacturing software.
- Reading and Comprehension: Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written work-related instructions.
- Independence: Ability to work without close supervision.
- Shift Work: Ability to work any shift assigned.
- Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing and Pulling: Must be able to push and/or pull up to 10 pounds.
- Standing and Walking: Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on a concrete surface.
- Kneeling, Bending, and Stooping: Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties.
- Post-Offer Assessment: Successful completion of a post-offer physical assessment, drug screen, and background check required.
