POSITION SUMMARY:

The Biomedical Technician II plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational integrity of medical devices and equipment. This position is vital for maintaining safety standards for both patients and healthcare staff, as well as facilitating accurate diagnostics for medical professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on medical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Implement preventive maintenance protocols to enhance equipment longevity and reliability.
3. Adhere to electrical safety standards to protect patients and staff.
4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the Environment of Care.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

An Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent Military Biomedical Technician Program.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare biomedical engineering or electronics engineering is required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

No specific licensure or certification is mandated by law.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience through a biomedical internship is highly regarded.
