We are seeking a Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. As an LPN, you will provide intermediate care and treatment to clients, manage and prepare medications, and perform various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate clients, collecting vital signs and specimens, and monitoring their response to treatment.
- Manage, sort, and prepare medications for distribution to patients, and evaluate medication compliance.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications with training and supervision, and assist the physician as needed.
- Draw blood, collect urine and other routine laboratory specimens, and send them to the laboratory for analysis.
- Consult with physicians, case managers, team members, and pharmacies on new orders, changes, preauthorizations, and lab results.
- Prepare and maintain patient charts, logs, and records, and order, track, and stock supplies and medications.
- Provide crisis intervention services as necessary.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and training as required.
- Hold a current LPN license from the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Have graduated from a State-accredited program of practical nurse education.
- Have moderate experience as a practical nurse in a behavioral health setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
